The Les Schwab Amphitheater is a beautiful outdoor riverfront Amphitheater built in the historic Old Mill District in 2001. The Amphitheater was named in honor of a remarkable Central Oregonian, Les Schwab. Les is a logging camp educated, ambitious natural leader. He was a competitive yet gentle man who loved to win and share the victory. The success of Central Oregon can be attributed in large part to Les' vision and generosity.
The venue will accommodate approximately 8000 patrons for concerts and other events in a casual outdoor setting. All summer long the Amphitheater will present some of the biggest names in entertainment plus free concerts by local and national performers every Sunday.
At the Les Schwab Amphitheater we believe Central Oregon is the greatest place to live, work and play. To help ensure strong community growth and maintain our wonderful quality of life we are active members in the organizations listed below.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon
Being a Big Brother or Sister is something you can do. The only requirements are a willingness to make a new friend and a desire to share some fun with a young person. Volunteers consistently say that being a Big is even more enjoyable and fulfilling for them than it is for their Little. BBBS has a list of "Littles" just waiting for someone like you to share in their lives.
Arts Central
Arts Central, the regional arts and culture council of Central Oregon, builds an appreciation of the arts through education and advocacy and encourages the inclusion of the arts in all aspects of community life.
Central Oregon Community College
Central Oregon Community College's 201-acre Bend campus offers quiet, peaceful surroundings for study and reflection. The campus includes 21 buildings with a total of 414,212 square feet under roof. The 10,000-square-foot Chandler Lab is located on a six-acre site nearby on Awbrey Butte.
