LA Phil Live

LA Phil Live

la phil live.jpegLA Phil Live with world famous conductor Gustavo Dudamel, conducts Brahms on Sunday, June 5 at 2pm from the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles with a live broadcast nationwide including Regal Cinemas in the Old Mill District. The Brahms’ program is Concerto for Violin, Cello and Orchestra and Symphony No. 4. In this symphony power and beauty can be heard throughout the music from the tragic first movement, through the requiem-like second movement, surprisingly joyful third, to the climactic final chords of the forceful last movement. Brahms was at his most dramatic and passionate when he composed Symphony No. 4. Dudamel is joined by brothers Renaud and Gautier Capuçon for Brahms’ towering Double Concerto, Brahms’ final orchestral work. Renaud, a violinist and younger brother Gautier a cellist both enjoy flourishing concert careers and are in demand internationally playing with many of the world's leading conductors and orchestras.

NCM Fathom and the Los Angeles Philharmonic have partnered to bring specially selected performances LIVE from the Walt Disney Concert Hall to movie theatres nationwide. LA Phil LIVE is an immersive sight and sound experience, featuring full concert performances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic led by its dynamic music director Gustavo Dudamel, broadcast live from Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.
