LA PHIL Live
NCM Fathom and the Los Angeles Philharmonic and conductor Gustavo
Dudamel bring audiences specially selected performances to movie
theaters nationwide. Dudamel leads the Los
Angeles Philharmonic and the Simón Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of
Venezuela, combined with multiple choirs and soloists in Mahler’s “Symphony of a Thousand”
(No. 8), the apotheosis of the Romantic symphony in live
performance on Saturday,
February 18.
LA Phil LIVE is an immersive sight and sound experience,
featuring full concert performances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic
led by its dynamic music director Gustavo Dudamel. In-theater audiences
will experience up-close and dramatic views of Dudamel and the orchestra
in action, captured with multiple HD cameras and in thrilling 5.1
surround sound. Each broadcast will transport audiences behind the music
for an exclusive “backstage pass” look at the LA Phil – including
interviews with Dudamel, world-renowned guest soloists, and the
orchestra's musicians.
LA Phil LIVE provides a unique opportunity for viewers to
learn more about the music and the music-making process, as well as gain
