Deschutes River Clean-Up

Upper Deschutes Watershed Council annual Deschutes River Clean-Up happens Saturday, August 6 from 10am-2pm. Join us to help clean up our river!

Volunteers of all ages, paddlers, divers, and everyone who loves the Deschutes River is invited to join us for our 20th annual Deschutes River Clean-Up!

Please join us for a day of stewardship along the Deschutes River!  The annual Deschutes River Clean-Up is a volunteer event for Stream Stewardship Day and is an opportunity for our community to join together and show our commitment to keeping our river healthy.  Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to come to pull invasive weeds and pick up unwanted litter from the riverbanks.

Divers from Central Oregon Dive Shop will be in the river collecting debris from the bottom of the stream.  Paddlers are welcome to help transport what is collected to the shore.  We hope to see you there.  Together we can make a difference!

River clean-up activities will take place in the Deschutes River and its riparian areas between Riverbend Park and Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe. Volunteers meet at Riverbend Park (799 Columbia).

Recreation in and around the Deschutes River has led to instream debris and brings significant impacts to river health. In order to keep our river beautiful and protect water quality for fish and wildlife, the Watershed Council coordinated Deschutes River Clean-Up every year.
