Bend A Capella Festival

Row3-4-eNews-BendACapellaFestival-168x168-01.jpgGet ready for weekend of a capella performances in Bend. The three day festival runs February 19-21 and brings high school, collegiate, amateur and professional A Capella groups from all over the Northwest to Bend to learn, perform and collaborate.

The “Sing-Off” will bring together groups from near and far to compete for $1,000 and the opportunity to open for The House Jacks on Saturday night. Corvallis’s OSU Outspoken as well as Wilsonville High's award winning group Soul'd Out are among those registered for the event. The House Jacks sing everything from funk and rock to heart-melting ballads. These pioneering musicians have shared the stage with some of the biggest names in music, arranged music for both Pitch Perfect movies and NBC’s The Sing Off.

Aca-Pops are spontaneous street performances happening on Saturday, February 20 from 12-6pm throughout the Old Mill District and downtown. These are free to attend, so get ready to enjoy a random a capella song from one of the talented groups in town.

Bella Acappella performs an Aca-Pop at Greg's Grill at 4pm, Sound Affaire in REI at 4:30pm, UpBeat! in Anthony's at 5pm, Sirens at Greg's Grill at 5pm and Joshua Clifton in the Tower lobby at 6:30pm.

The “Sing-Off” is on Friday, February 19 at 7pm. The House Jacks perform on Saturday, February 20 at 7pm with both events happening at the Tower Theatre. Tickets and more information at the Tower Theatre.
