Fleece & Flannel Ball for Arts Central
ARTS CENTRAL ANNOUNCES THE 2011 FLEECE + FLANNEL BALL
Bend, OR – Arts Central honors its members with a fun event – the 2011 Fleece + Flannel Ball presented by the Old Mill District. The purpose of Arts Central is to inspire creativity through arts education and to advocate for the integration of the arts in all aspects of community life in Central Oregon.
“We had many successes in 2010 because of our membership and this is our way of saying Thank You!” said development and marketing manager, John Negrau. In 2010, we had our most successful Black & White fundraiser ever, took big steps in our initiative to transform our entire arts education program, added two new roundabout sculptures for our community, launched a new Cultural Advocates Partnership, and provided classes to over 7,000 students through our Arts Education programs (Art Station, Artists in Schools residencies, and VanGo).
Members (as well as spouses of members, and one guest) can put on their favorite fleece and flannel outfit and enjoy a fun adults-only evening. The evening will feature Arts Central's Artie Awards, entertainment by M.c. Mystic, local cart vendors, raffle prizes, costume prizes (with the grand prize being a 12-pound wheel of cheese from Cada Dia), and local beer and wine.
The Fleece + Flannel Ball is scheduled for Friday February 25, at the Art Station (313 SW Shevlin Hixon – across from the Les Schwab Amphitheater) from 5-9pm. If you are not a member yet, Arts Central has extended its Friend Drive, so you can still attend the Fleece + Flannel Ball. Visit Arts Central to become a member.
