Steely Dan was founded by core members Walter Becker and Donald Fagen making music from 1972-1981 and making seven albums blending elements of jazz, rock, funk, R&B and pop. Rolling Stone has called them "the perfect musical antiheroes for the Seventies." In 1993 Becker and Fagen reunited playing together again over the years.
Get ready to hear Steely Dan’s classic rock tunes Reeling In The Years, Bodhisattva, Black Friday, Rikki Don't Lose That Number, Do It Again and My Old School plus many more. Steely Dan was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.
Opening Band: The amazing Jazz guitarist Bobby Broom and his trio, The Bobby Broom Organi-Sation, will be the opening act for Steely Dan. The Bobby Broom Organi-sation is a trio featuring Broom, Makaya McCraven or Kobie Watkins on drums and Ben Paterson on the organ. This new band project was created by Bobby at the request of Steely Dan especially for this tour.
Broom performs and records with jazz saxophone legend Sonny Rollins as well as his Bobby Broom Trio and the Deep Blue Organ Trio. While versed in the bebop idiom, Broom, like many current artists, draws from a variety of American music forms such as funk, soul, R&B and the blues to create his style.
