On August 1, the St. Charles Free Summer Sunday Concert Series presents Stolen Sweets (swing/jazz) followed by Dangermuffin (americana/rock/reggae) on August 8. Join us for a family friendly afternoon of great music from 2:30-4:30pm. Bring a picnic, the kids, your dog and some sunscreen for a fun filled afternoon in the sun.
On August 5, we've got Michael Franti & Spearhead and in late August get ready to welcome Bob Dylan and John Mellencamp on August 27 and Clint Black and Luke Bryan on August 29 to the Les Schwab Amphitheater in Bend. Tickets on sale now via Ticketmaster and the Ticket Mill in the Old Mill District. Great Music is in the air!

Stolen Sweets (Swing/Jazz) Stolen Sweets are recreating the swing jazz sound of the 1930s. Their music has an authentic feel that makes you feel like you've been transported back to the glory days of the New Orleans jazz scene.
Each Sunday St. Charles Health System will highlight a particular area in the hospital including the High Desert Sleep Center, Heart Team, Cancer Center, Rehabilitation Center, Immediate Care, Pediatrics and more.

Michael Franti & Spearhead will bring their blend of hip hop, funk, reggae, jazz and rock back to Bend for a night of much jumping up and down. Their 2009 album All Rebel Rockers is comprised of dub-infused soul flavor and some hard-hitting rock music.
Get ready to jump up and down and enjoy Say Hey (I Love You), People in Tha Middle and I Got Love For You. Opening band Flobots (alternative hip hop/rap).

Dangermuffin (Americana/Roots Rock/Reggae)
Dangermuffin is an eclectic trio, providing a fresh perspective on American roots music. Seamlessly melding the feel of a back porch blues band with dance-floor grooves, their original yet familiar sound pleases crowds of all ages. What sets them ahead of the pack is the refreshingly magnetic songwriting of Dan Lotti with his strong, articulate vocals frame each song perfectly, creating a stout foundation for the tasteful poly-groove jams and improvisational passages. The music has an inventive and fresh quality, while still retaining that organic Americana truthfulness.
Dangermuffin's fanbase has skyrocketing, with a strong regional presence in the Southeast plus explosive tours in the West, including an appearance at the Jazz Aspen Festival opening for Widespread Panic and Xavier Rudd. Dangermuffin just released a new album titled Moonscapes in April 2010.

Bob Dylan and John Mellencamp are coming to Bend!
Bob Dylan folk music legend can draw from famous songs such as Mr. Tamborine Man, Tangled Up in Blue, Like a Rolling Stone and Times They are a Changing and many more. We are also looking forward to John Mellencamp performing his many hit songs including Jack and Diane, Pink Houses, Small Town and other great songs. Opening band The Dough Rollers (Roots/Blues/Appalachian Country).

In their only Oregon concert of the year, a great double header with legendary country artist Clint Black who joins forces with up and coming country star Luke Bryan. Clint's well known songs include A Better Man, Killin Time, Like the Rain, When My Ship Comes In and much more. Clint Black has returned to his honky-tonk country tradition and will put on a great show.
Luke Bryan recently won the Top New Solo Vocalist of the Year by the Academy of Country Music. Luke Bryan's breakout hits include All My Friends Say, We Rode in Trucks and Country Man.

Luke Bryan
Luke Bryan is a young up and coming country singer songwriter from Georgia. Luke Bryan recently won the Top New Artist award from the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Willie Nelson Concert

Willie Nelson is touring throughout the summer with his long standing troupe of musicians, or “family”, to present a new album of country standards Country Music, out this spring.
His best of list includes Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to Be Cowboys, On the Road Again and To All the Girls I've Loved Before.
Ryan Bingham & The Dead Horses will open the show. His album Mescalito and a performance at Austin City Limits helped bring him into the national spotlight in 2007 with his gritty south of the border (lyrics in Spanish and English) Americana Roots Rock sound.
Ryan recently won an Academy Award (music and lyrics) for the song The Weary Kind in the movie Crazy Heart with T Bone Burnett. Check out Ryan singing this oscar winning song on YouTube. Ryan will have a new album out in September 2010 produced by Burnett.
