MOONLIGHT CANOE-KAYAK TOURS, DINNER CANOE UNDER THE STARS

SCHEDULED FOR JULY

BEND, Ore.

Moonlight Canoe and Kayak Tours, which take participants paddling on a mountain lake under the light of the full moon, include desserts baked locally by Sparrow Bakery and hot drinks. $65 per person.

Dinner Canoe Under the Stars evenings include wine, appetizers and a catered, white linen, gourmet dinner on the beach before heading out onto the water for a 2-hour canoe tour under the stars on the flat waters of the Cascade Lakes, with dessert back on the shore to top off the night. $110 per person

All tours, guided by local naturalist guides who will share vibrant natural and cultural history interpretation specific to each area visited, include transportation, instruction, equipment and all food and drinks.

Half-day Canoe and Kayak Trips, Cave Tours, Volcano Tours and GPS Eco-Challenge trips are available daily at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. $37-$65 per person, with children’s rates available.

Wanderlust Tours July series of Moonlight Canoe and Kayak Tours during the evenings surrounding the full moon on July 3-7, 2009, each night from 8 p.m. to midnight. And two Dinner Canoe Under the Stars events will be offered in early July on Thursday, July 9 and Saturday, July 25 at 6:00 p.m. Starlight Canoe and Kayak Tours, different from Moonlight Tours, are available on a nightly basis at 8 p.m. throughout the summer and fall.
