The Orvis Casting Course
The Orvis Casting Course in the Old Mill District is the only 18-hole golf-style casting course of its kind in North America. It was designed for fun, education, and as an opportunity to practice essential casting skills before going fishing or during the off-season. The course is free and open to the public and was developed in partnership with the Old Mill District.
Each station is named after a given fishing situation exemplifying its unique challenges; some will require roll casts, some distance, all require a level of accuracy and all provide fun and improve your casting. Users can keep track of their scores on scorecards distributed at the store. Best scores will be showcased on a plaque in the entrance of the store.
