Wine Tasting Rooms in Bend

Add some sipping to your shopping day with a stop at one of the Old Mill District’s two winery tasting rooms. Both Va Piano Vineyards and Naked Winery have wine tasting rooms with expansive outdoor patios for enjoying a drink in the great outdoors. Naked Winery also serves up a rotating craft beer on tap if you have someone in the bunch who prefers hops over grapes.

Naked Winery

Naked Winery has $10 wine flights with red, white or dessert wines.

Naked Winery, a Hood River based winery brings its exotic brands and provocative labels to Bend. Naked Winery sources their fruit from select vineyards in Oregon and Washington—from Apple Gate and Columbia Valley regions to Willamette and Rogue Valley—Naked Winery produces subtle and complex wines.

The grapes for Naked Winery’s Big red varietals (Barbera, Cabernet, Merlot, Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Syrah, Tempranillo and Zinfandel) are grown in the hot and dry Apple Gate and Columbia Valley regions. While other varietals (Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Muscat, Riesling and Viognier) benefit from the cool pacific marine layers of the Willamette and Rogue Valley to produce subtle and complex wines.

Naked Winery also makes Outdoor Vino packaged in lightweight plastic BPA-free recyclable bottles with screw tops. Outdoor Vino is great for a hike, picnic or any outdoor adventure in Central Oregon.

Va Piano Vineyards

Live music in the Tasting Room on Thursday evenings, 6-7:30pm  through January

Va Piano offers a wine tasting flight for $10 with five two ounce pours. For every bottle purchased a tasting fee is waved.

Va Piano Vineyards, a premier winery located in Walla Walla, Washington opened a tasting room in Bend. The tasting room is located in the Old Mill District, and is an extension of the main tasting room in Walla Walla.

Owner/winemaker Justin Wylie said, “Bend’s popularity as both a place to live and a destination for visitors made it the perfect place for us to share our wines with a larger audience. The riverfront setting is picture perfect and district is a main attraction for both locals and tourists who come to shop, dine and, we’re sure, drink some great wine.”

The name Va Piano means ‘go slow’ and embodies a simple philosophy: great wine is an invitation to slow down and relax. Since 2003, Va Piano has focused on small lot Cabernet Sauvignons and Syrahs from premier Washington State growers, including their own Walla Walla Valley Estate Vineyards. Wylie says, “The best characteristics of the region are carefully selected and captured in every bottle of Va Piano wine.”

Va Piano Wine Tasting Room is located next door to Anthony’s restaurant.
