Oregon WinterFest returns February 17-19 to the Old Mill District in Bend, Oregon. The massive celebration of all things winter will bring national music acts, a fire pit competition, ice sculptures, the OMSI Kids Area, fine art, delicious food, beer, wine and so much more. Watch as the Old Mill District turns into a winter wonderland! There is something for everyone at WinterFest.

WinterFest weekend: Friday 5-10pm, Saturday 11am-10pm and Sunday 11am-6pm.
Tickets available in advance $10 per person in advance at the Ticket Mill and around town. Tickets are $12 at the gate. Family 4 pack available only at the gate for $36. (Must include two children under 18.)

Fine Art & Food Marketplace open WinterFest hours throughout the weekend. Arts and crafts, fashion and specialty foods will fill the marketplace with more vendors than ever before.

Friday Night Wine Walk
Embark on a tasting tour of fine wines as you stroll through the Old Mill District on the banks of the crystalline Deschutes River. Friday night in the Old Mill District.
In the Old Mill District at participating shops and restaurants on Friday, February 17 from 5-9pm. The Wine Walk locations are: Bend Day Spa, Flip Flop Shops, Lubbesmeyer Studio & Gallery, Naked Winery, Tumalo Art Co., Savory Spice, Saxon’s Fine Jewelers, Shoes &… by desperado, Simply Mac, Sunglass Hut and Va Piano Vineyards. Simply Mac is the premier partner sponsor hosting Whole Foods Market.
The Whole Foods Market Wine Walk is a wonderful opportunity to gather with other wine lovers and find your new favorite winemaker.
Included in the Whole Foods Market Wine Walk: An official Oregon WinterFest ticket ($22) which gives you entry into WinterFest for the full three days, a commemorative Oregon WinterFest 2017 wineglass and 10 tasting tickets valid at any of the stores and restaurants providing wine tastings over the course of the evening.
Rail Jam Ski & Snowboard
10 Barrel Brewing is bringing their custom rail jam truck to WinterFest. Look for the pop-up rail jam competition for both skiers and snowboarders on Friday and Saturday nights.
Ski and Snowboard Free Ride from 6-7:30pm on Friday. Snowboard Qualifying 2-3pm on Saturday. Ski Qualifying 4-5pm on Saturday. Ski & Snowboard Finals from 6-7:30pm on Saturday.
New for 2017 the Rail Jam truck is open for sledding from 12 noon -5pm on Sunday.
Fire King & Ice Queen
Fire King and Ice Queen Return! The royal pair will make appearances throughout the festival weekend. Royal procession 6:30-7pm on Friday. King & Queen at throne 7-8pm on Friday. Photo Opportunity with King & Queen on Sunday from 12 noon – 2pm.
Ice Carving Sculpture Competition
The Ice Sculpture Competition attracts groups and individuals from around the region. Loved by kids and adults alike, this live ice carving exhibition and competition brings ice and sparkle to the heart of the event. Bigger than ever before, 10 sculptures will come to life through the work of live artists chipping away on giant slabs of ice. Ice Carving 11am-3pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Fire Pit Competition
The incredibly popular Fire Pit Competition returns with more artists than ever before. More than 20 Fire Pits and Fire Sculptures will blaze along the Deschutes River in the Old Mill District. New this year will be the People’s Choice Award. Formerly held to professional judging only, the competition will this year open up and ask festivalgoers to vote on their favorite submissions too!
Take a stroll through the fire pit contest and exhibition where elaborate, detailed fire pits take the Central Oregon backyard staple to incredible, artistic levels. While the pits light up both the day and night, it is a special treat to see the flames burning against the cold, night sky.
Oregon WinterFest is excited to welcome back the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry courtesy of the Bend Research Children’s Tent with brain teasers and hands-on exhibits and demonstrations focused on chemistry, physics, biology and more. The Children’s Tent will be open Friday, 5-8pm, Saturday, 11-8pm and Sunday 11-6pm.
Kids Hot Cocoa Run
Kids Hot Cocoa Run: Each Prince and Princess will run from station to station, building a cup of hot cocoa that is good enough for royalty on Saturday, February 18 at 12 noon. Stations will include fun ingredients to make the perfect cup of hot cocoa. When the cross the finish line they will be awarded the final touch, the hot cocoa! This event will leave the little runners feeling like they rule the world.
The Royal Run (5k & 1.5k run) on Sunday, February 19 at 12 noon. This Royal Run is a fun run with obstacles. This year the theme is Royalty so plan on castles, moats, kings, queens and so much more. Wear your most aristocratic garb as prizes will be given to kings and queens for style and ability (in their garb).
The WinterFest Fire King and Ice Queen will be there to congratulate you as you cross the finish line and will join you at the post race celebration. Awards Ceremony in Bent Lounge between 1:30-2pm.
Motor Sports Spectacle
The motorcross team Metal Mulisha will hit the big air track and will showcase their sickest tricks and death-defying stunts during BIG AIR shows. This world-famous motorcross team brings some of its best riders for your viewing pleasure. Practice 12 noon-12:30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Performances from 1-1:30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Performances 3:30-4pm on Saturday and 3-3:30pm on Sunday.
